New Year – New Series: ‘Intertwining’
A new year brings new thoughts and ideas. Michelle commenced a new contemporary photography project called ‘Intertwining’ – the images will depict trees with the human form intertwining with nature.
The series will be carried forward throughout the year – “all” that is needed is a specific tree and model. This may found simple, but it’s not as easy as it looks. The tree – its shape, foliage and branches – must be just right, and must match the model perfectly (height, build, colouring).
The first image for these series was captured with:
Model: Mikey Gatward
Tree: Almond tree – Prunus dulci
Location – Andalucia

January is the perfect month for almond blossoms. Michelle spent time photographing many of the villages in the Axarquia region in land to the east of Malaga. Breathtaking views this area really is the home to the olive and the almond trees. Villages photographed included: Comares, Alcaucín, Cómpeta, Cumbres Mayores, Ríogordo, Sayalonga and many more…
