At least once a year luxury travel blogger Ana Silva O’Reilly comes to Marbella and this year Michelle joined Ana, who,is originally from Portugal, her sister Renata and her mother, at Villa Malibu in Los Monteros, Marbella. Great to meet up with the Silva family.

Casa Vesta hotel review
Every so often when travelling around Andalucia, you stumble on a really exceptional hotel, and this is the definitely the case with Casa Vesta in Zufre.

A remote location with 360º views to the Sierra de Aracena natural park and the surrounding countryside, with its gently rolling tree-covered hills and fabulous infinity pool. The hotel has what must be one of the finest collections of contemporary art in Andalucia. Loads of boho charm and a joy to photograph.

Caminito del Rey
This is often referred to as the scariest walk on earth. Michelle carried out a spectacular photography assignment for Andalucia.com on the high, narrow walking path, which follows a gorge of the river Guadalhorce. You can see her photo blog of the walk here.

Article on Leo Matiz for MOMA course
As part of Michelle’s course for the MoMA she wrote an article on documentary photographer Leo Matiz, who was born in Colombia in 1917 and brought up there, but during his professional career worked in Mexico and the Middle East, and as a photojournalist for Life Magazine in New York. Leo Matiz created some extraordinary portraits of Frida Khalo at home in her garden in Xochmico, Mexico in the 1940´s. Read more here.
